Control of SHERLOG Vision device in the vehicle

SHERLOG Vision 1 and SHERLOG Vision 2

Starting the car

  • When the engine starts or a movement is detected.

Stopping the car

  • When the engine is shut down and the vehicle stops.

SHERLOG Vision 1 – with security toggle switch

  • Secure status – switch in position marked ‘?’.
If the vehicle moves in secure mode, an alarm signal is sent to the user via the SHERLOG Vision portal. It is transmitted once during the ride.
If there is a further alarm signal it is transmitted the next time the vehicle is driven. The switch can be toggled to secure status when driving. When the drive is ended secure status takes place. The switch can be toggled to secure status after driving.
  • Logged on status – toggle switch is in unmarked position.
If it is an authorized drive, the security switch should be toggled to the position ‘status’ before starting the vehicle. In ‘logged on status’ the system transmits no alarm signal.

SHERLOG Vision 2 – with driver’s remote identification.

  • Authorization pendant
The pendant should not be left in a parked vehicle.
When driving it should be placed into a normal operating position (e.g. on a ring with the ignition key).
  • Secure status
This status is on automatically after approx. 3 minutes from last movement of the vehicle and continues until an authorization pendant is within reach of the vehicle.
  • Logged on status
This status is on and continues as long as an authorization pendant is within reach of the vehicle.
  • Alarm status
This status is on if a vehicle is started without an authorization pendant. An alarm signal is transmitted to the non-stop SHERLOG Client Centre. If there is further alarm signal it is transmitted the next time the vehicle is driven.

SHERLOG Vision 1 a SHERLOG Vision 2 – with external input on

(this only applies to individually designed connections installed at a SHERLOG dealer)
  • Alarm signal is transmitted to the SHERLOG Vision portal each time an external input is activated.
  • Alarm signal can be transmitted in sleep mode (stationary vehicle) and in active mode (when driving). Alarm signal is transmitted once to prevent transmission of more successive alarms. If there is a further alarm signal it is transmitted the next time the vehicle is driven.
